Accredited members of the British Cycling Club Development Programme

Sulis Scorpions Youth Cycling Club is one of a select group of cycling clubs across the country that holds British Cycling Club Development Programme accreditation (the successor scheme to Clubmark).

Recognising high standards in welfare, equity, coaching and club management, this is a scheme for community sports clubs originally conceived by Sport England. We are proud to hold this as it confirms we provide an environment that ensures member welfare, and promotes cycling as a lifelong sport.

As a club we have completed a rigorous process to show that we meet the many criteria, including having suitably qualified volunteers, holding regular coaching sessions and having well structured club development plans.

Mark Adams, British Cycling Regional Development Manager for the South, said of the club’s achievement:

My congratulations go out to Sulis Scorpions on achieving Go-Ride Clubmark status. The coaches and volunteers work extremely hard to provide opportunities for young people to get involved in cycling, and I look forward to continue supporting them in the future as I’m sure that the club will go on to do great things."
