Minehead Cycling Club, in conjunction with the Town’s Events Group, are pleased to announce the first crit in Minehead for many years. The crit will run alongside the ‘Festival of Wheels’, which sees the visit of the iconic Flying Scotsman steam train to the Town, parades and street entertainment.

The races will take place on a fully barriered closed road 1.25km town centre circuit. There is a full programme of races throughout the day. Full details can be found under the “About” and “Entry Fees & Races” tabs.

The circuit is relatively flat, with one dead man’s turn and 3 long straights. The circuit is guaranteed to produce fast and exciting racing.

The Town expects to attract a large numbers of visitors over the weekend so, for those of you who enjoy racing in front of a crowd, this race is ‘a must’.

Come race the last closed road crit in the South West in 2017!

Please note: There is no parking at the start/ finish. Car parks will be clearly signed on the day. Please allow enough time to move from your car to registration and race starts. The Cat 4 men’s race will now be run separately. The ‘on the day’ fees should be £25 for adults and £10 for youths. The U12 girl’s race is 20 minutes not 12.
